- DIP Pairing Setup - Open the battery cover and look inside the old remote. There is a series of “DIP” switches (4). Slide the switches on the new remote with a pen to match the pattern of the old remote. As long as the fan has a receiver (it must also have the same dip switches). Replace the batteries in the new remote and everything will work. If you have more than one ceiling fan in your home, make sure the PIN settings are different between them
- Note that, the fan buttons are used to control air speed and light brightness, the receiver does not have a reverse function. The dimmer button controls the brightness of the incandescent light.
